Introduction:

Hey! I’m Simone, I’m a registered mental health nurse in the UK and a wellbeing coach. I’m in a great position to help people make positive changes to their lifestyle, in particular I have an interest in helping people improve their lifestyle through better routines and making the most of getting outside in nature. As a mental health nurse I have a good understanding of mental health, practical skills to help people improve their mental health and additional training in CBT principles.

About Me:

I have a passion for mental health and the mind. Have you ever heard that there are more potential connections in your brain than there are stars in the sky? How mind blowing is that?! That’s an immeasurable amount of potential that each of us hold in that gap between our ears. If I can get you to tap into some of that potential then I'm a happy nurse. It's good to note that I am not a therapist, my nursing gives me a good understand of how the mind works and ways to improve mental health, but I am not clinically trained for therapy or counselling. For that reason I'm best placed to work with people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issyes or are looking to make some positive changes to their lives. One of my biggest interests is the connection between movement, nature and mental health and how this all interlinks with wider health and wellbeing. I love being outdoors. If I’m not training or working you can pretty much guarantee I’ll be in the sea, in a forest, on a paddle board or up a mountain.

Counseling Approach:

It's good to note that I am not a therapist, my nursing gives me a good understand of how the mind works and ways to improve mental health, but I am not clinically trained for therapy or counselling. For that reason I'm best placed to work with people experiencing mild to moderate mental health issyes or are looking to make some positive changes to their lives.

Men’s Mental Health – November

International Men’s Day (which is on November 19th) tag line is ‘Men leading by example’ and is not about fanning the patriarchy, but in fact breaking down those stereotypes and moving forward to a more compassionate culture that sees men for who they really are, just like women, soft and squishy on the inside with their own insecurities and emotional needs.
